Money Monday 🚀 8 July 2024
Free share from Freetrade up to ÂŁ100, ÂŁ175 bank switch & ÂŁ15 sign up with Quidco
Hello, and happy Monday 👋 I’m thrilled you’re reading the very first Money Monday email! 🚀
Money Monday is a weekly newsletter sharing the latest sign-up offers, referral schemes, bank switch deals, and more. Living in the UK you no doubt will have felt the squeeze on living standards and it seems the price of everything is constantly rising.
In these weekly emails, I aim to share the latest offers and bonuses paid by UK companies - with just a little effort, you can boost your income by hundreds, maybe thousands of extra pounds.
This week I’ve highlighted three offers, by following some simple steps you could bag up to £290, or even more! Not bad, eh? Let’s get into it 👇
REFER A FRIEND
What is it
Freetrade is a commission-free investment platform that allows users to trade stocks and ETFs via a user-friendly mobile app. They have over 1.5m registered and are regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority.
When you refer a friend or family member to Freetrade and they fund their account with £50 then you’ll both be eligible for a free share valued anywhere between £10 - £100.
Steps
1. Be sure to sign up to Freetrade and sign into the app.
2. In the app tap the “Free shares” button on the home screen.
2. Send the link to a friend (you can refer up to 10 friends to receive up to 10 shares a month).
3. When your friend accepts and downloads the app through the link, once they sign up and deposit ÂŁ50 you both will receive a free share.

BANK SWITCH
ÂŁ175 when you switch your current bank account to First Direct
What is it
The competition between banks offering switching bonuses is pretty hot at the moment. If you haven’t switched before don’t be intimidated because it’s surprisingly easy to do as the banks take care of everything on your behalf, including switching direct debits over automatically.
First Direct have one of the most generous switching offers right now. They’ll pay you £175 simply for switching allegiance from your old banking provider to them.
Steps to be eligible
First things first, you must be a new customer to First Direct. Sign up for a First Direct account and complete a full switch using the Current Account Switch Service. You’ll need to have at least 2 Direct Debits or standing orders. Then as long as you pay in £1,000, make 5+ debit card payments, and log on to digital banking, within 30 days of your account opening you’ll receive a £175 welcome bonus. That’s not a lot of effort for £175!

SIGN UP & REFER A FRIEND
ÂŁ15 when you sign up to Quidco using this link
What is it
Quidco is a cashback website that rewards users with money back on your online purchases from partnered retailers. Quidco is a favourite of mine, I’ve personally made over £1000 in cashback over the years by going through them for most online purchases.
If you sign up to Quidco using my referral link (non-referral link here) then I’ll receive £15 and you will also receive £15 as soon as you have £5 confirmed cashback. Earning your first £5 is pretty easy, you’ll earn that pretty quickly with just a few online purchases.
And of course, when you refer your friends and family you’ll be eligible for a £15 referral bonus too. This is really only limited by the number of people you can persuade to sign up to Quidco, so potentially there’s even more cash to be made here.
Steps
1. Sign up to Quidco
2. On the Quidco website find retailers you want to buy products from and click through to make a purchase.
3. Cashback can take some days or weeks to be confirmed, but once you reach your first ÂŁ5 cashback then expect a ÂŁ15 bonus added to your account, which you can then withdraw as cash or exchange as a voucher.
