Free hot drink from Waitrose

I love this deal! You can enjoy a free hot drink, tea or coffee, every day with Waitrose.

To start, sign up to myWaitrose. It’s completely free to sign up to and includes a few other benefits like competition entry and money-saving vouchers.

When you head to the store next, just swipe your myWaitrose card or scan the barcode in the app at the self-service drinks machine. The only thing you’ll need to do in exchange is make a purchase. There is no minimum spend on this so you could buy a single banana or any other inexpensive item and you’re good to go!

Just note you’ll need to bring your own reusable cup which I think is a fair trade and promotes better sustainability.

Free barista drink when you refer a friend + friend gets 3,000 reward points

Getting a free coffee from Black Sheep Coffee is pretty easy. You’ll receive 3,000 loyalty points when signing up to the app using a referral code - 3,000 points is enough for a filtered tea or coffee (a barista-made drink is 5,000).

Simply download the app from the App Store or Google Play and use a referral link at sign-up to earn the points. If you don’t know anybody who can refer you, you can use my link or copy the code DCJIG.

Great! After you’ve enjoyed your delicious coffee, you can then use your own referral link (see the ‘Rewards’ tab of the app) to invite friends or family. They’ll receive loyalty points too and you, as the referrer, will get a free barista drink voucher once they make their first purchase.

Free coffee for you and a friend from Caffè Nero

This is another app-based offer, this time from Caffè Nero. You can unlock a free coffee for both you and a friend when you invite them to download the Caffè Nero app.

You should already have the app downloaded yourself (available from the App Store and Google Play). Scroll down on the Home tab to find the ‘Invite a friend’ section. You’ll see your personal QR code or alternatively, you can share your unique invite link. Note, I’ve found this link doesn’t open on a desktop so make sure the link is opened from a mobile device.

After your friend’s first purchase then you’ll both see a free coffee unlocked in the app!
