Up to £175 for switching to The Co-operative Bank
If you have a spare current account you can switch, this one is a solid payout for a bit of admin. The Co-operative Bank is offering up to £175 if you do a full switch and use the account. It’s split into £100 upfront, then up to £25 a month for three months.
To get the £100: apply and switch in using the Current Account Switch Service, then within 30 days pay in £1,000, have 2 active Direct Debits, make 10 debit card payments, and register for online banking (app is fine).
To get the extra £25 per month (up to 3 months): each month, pay in £1,000, keep 2 Direct Debits active, and make 10 debit card payments.
Key gotchas: the offer is up to £175, not a guaranteed £175, and some things only count after the switch completes. You also cannot have had a Co-op switch incentive since 1 Nov 2022.
Best for: anyone with regular bills and spending who can meet the monthly rules without changing their whole life.
£20 to £100 Bonus When You Join InvestEngine (referral)
If you have been meaning to open a simple investing account anyway, this is a decent little sweetener. InvestEngine’s refer-a-friend offer gives you a bonus of £20 to £100 when you sign up via a referral link and invest £100. Your referrer gets the same. This is only worth doing if you are happy leaving the money invested for a while.
To qualify: join via a referral link, open your account, then invest £100. Once your bonus is credited, you need to keep both your £100 and the bonus invested for 12 months.
Key gotchas: this is investing, not a savings account. Your investments can go down as well as up, and you should not use money you might need soon. Also, you only keep the bonus if you leave it invested for the full 12 months.
Best for: anyone already planning to start a small, sensible investing habit and happy to set it and forget it.
£50 Voucher Each When You Join E.ON Next via Referral
If you are already considering switching energy, a referral reward can make the maths look better. E.ON Next’s refer-a-friend scheme gives both the referrer and the new customer a £50 voucher once the new customer switches and pays their first Direct Debit.
The existing customer grabs their referral link from their E.ON Next account. The new customer signs up via that link and sets up a Direct Debit. The voucher is typically sent around four weeks after the first Direct Debit is paid.
Key gotchas: you need a genuine referral link from an existing customer, and the reward is a voucher (not cash).
Always compare the tariff to what you pay now. The referral is a sweetener, not a reason on its own.
Free Lidl Bakery Treat via Lidl Plus (12 to 25 Feb)
Lidl Plus has brought back the Bakery Spin. Do a shop, scan your Lidl Plus app (App Store, Google Play), and you get a spin of the in-app wheel. Every spin wins a free bakery item coupon.
After you shop, open Lidl Plus and use the wheel in the app. Your coupon shows up in the Coupons section. Activate it and redeem it on a later shop for a bakery item.
Key gotchas: the promo runs 12 to 25 Feb, and the coupon lives in the app, so check the expiry after you spin.
Best for: anyone doing a Lidl shop anyway who fancies a free pastry with it.
