£175 bank switch bonus from Barclays

What is it
This switching bonus from Barclays is only available until the end of August so it’s worth acting quickly on this one. They are paying £175 for new customers when switching from another bank. Not bad!

You can switch banking providers as often as you like so you can take advantage of multiple offers as long as you meet the bank’s eligibility criteria (often this means a minimum pay-in and have not been a customer for several years).

Do note that opening a new bank account can lower your credit score temporarily so this may be a consideration if you’re applying for a mortgage for example.

Steps to claim
1. Open a sole Barclays Bank Account or a sole Premier Current Account in the Barclays app.
2. Important: If you open the Barclays Bank Account you’ll also need to sign up for Blue Rewards which costs £5/month though this should pay for itself as you get 5% interest on balances up to £5,000 and other benefits such as an Apple TV+ subscription).
3. In the app, tap on ‘Switch account service’ on the Products tab and follow the steps to move your current account from another bank or building society over.
4. Pay at least £800 into your new Barclays account by 30 August.

What is it
Nutmeg is an investment platform offering a wide range of products, they offer things like a Stocks & Shares ISA, Junior ISA, General Investment Account and Pensions.

Two-person National Trust Day pass from Starling Bank

What is it
Starling Bank, a leading digital bank in the UK, offers personal and business bank accounts with features like fee-free foreign transactions and budgeting tools.

In partnership with the National Trust, Starling is giving away a two-person day pass for you and a friend that you refer. Day passes can be used at sites across the country. The price of entry varies depending on location, some entry costs are ~£20, so this free pass could be worth around £40 depending on where it’s used.

Starling also offers two free kids lunches at National Trust spaces if you subscribe to Kite, their free debit card and app for Kids.

Steps to redeem
1. In the Starling app, tap your profile picture in the top right and tap ‘Refer a friend’.
2. Tap ‘Share referral link’.
3. When your friend’s account is approved you’ll both be sent a National Trust day pass for two people.
